The One With the Border/s

Heard on the radio today that metrosexual men is the border between gay and straight man. How true is tht?

Have you been to Borders Malaysia? I havent! It's in Times Square. Would it be something like MPH? Times? Or something like the Fox Bookstore in You've got mail?

The One With the HayWire Time

I have been awake since 2am. Since I have to deliver 2 systems by the end of this week, I am going pretty bonkers. And so is my timing.

I would sleep around 10 something. Wake up around 1 something. Sleep again around 4 something. But the timing keeps on pushing further. As you can notice, it's nearly 5, and I am still awake.

Argh...i dont normally get headaches. however, had some yesterday. couldn't even stand the sun. too bright.

aaa...okay. better get back to work!

cheers ppl!

The One With the GAP

I am sure most of you would have read the previous post about The One with the Time.

So basically, how long to do you think is best to the gap between your children?

The One With the Token

How would you feel to get a token of love every year?
I think it's marvelous...
It makes you feel appreciated etc

Today on Mix.FM, the subject was more of getting the token of love in the form of sparkling stones; jewellery. A guy called up and said that he buys his wife gold every year, although she doesnt really like it. I think that's because he thinks of it as an investment, or an assurance...for his wife...in case something happens one of these days.

Shazmin said that some got it after getting a child. A friend of mine once said that she was thankful that her father did just that to her mother, coz when she passed away, and her father remarried, they were each left of the specific jewellery set then. And that's about it. Which is pretty a lot to them, as they now live independently.

For someone who doesnt really wear much jewellery, getting a jewellery would definitely impress me. Although snatch theft occurs a lot etc, it is the thought that counts. It is not that I would want it every year, but what my friend said about giving after birth means a lot to me. Come on...we dont know if when we die. And what happens after we do so. The first scenario, when the guy gave his wife every year, he was preparing her for it. On the second scenario, he was preparing his children for it. In case anything happens. Whatever it is, whatever you give will go back to the children..which is your own kin. Which should mean something. That's my rational.

And a gift is a gift. No one would be able to get from you. I remembered yesterday, they were discussing it in the radio. About will and stuff. A gift would be something that is yours. And wouldnt be under your assets, which means that no one would be able to get it from you.

Oh well...something to ponder.

At the same time, we should always try to make or give something every year. And always the thought that counts.

The One with the Best Time

When is the best time to
sleep? >>> on a rainy day?
play? >>> on a shiny day?

work? >>> when the bos is not in the office?
look busy? >>> when the bos is in the office?

make love? >>> nite? day?
make babies? >>> nite? day?
have another baby? >>> when the elder is starting to ignore you?? or when he can stand?

whatever it is...
it is definitely not the time to be in the office now...

ow...i miss my Zens!!!

The One with Play Cold

Ever since The One With the Lyric , I am soooo into Coldplay nowadays.

p/s: did you catch a glimpse of Apple the other day? Faeq definitely did.

Some more lyrics...

X & Y
Trying hard to speak and
Fighting with my weak hand
Driven to distraction
Its all part of the plan
When something is broken
And you try to fix it
Trying to repair it
Any way you can
I dive in at the deep end
She become my best friend
I want to love you but I dont know if I can
I know something is broken and im trying to fix it
Trying to repair it any way I can
Oooh, oooh...
You and me are floating on a tidal wave
You and me are drifting into outer space
And singing oooh, oooh...
You and me are floating on a tidal wave
You and me are drifting into outer space
You and me are floating on a tidal wave
You and me are drifting into outer space
And singing oooh, oooh
Oooh, oooh...

What if
What if there was no light
Nothing wrong, nothing right
What if there was no time
And no reason or rhyme
What if you should decide
That you dont want me there by your side
That you dont want me there in your life
What if I got it wrongAnd no poem or song
Could put right what I got wrong
Or make you feel I belong
What if you should decide
That you dont want me there by your side
That you dont want me there in your life
Oooh, thats right
Lets take a breath, jump over the side
Oooh, thats right
How can you know it if you dont even try
Oooh, thats right
Every step that you take
Could be your biggest mistakeIt could bend or it could break
But thats the risk that you take
What if you should decide
That you dont want me there in your life
That you dont want me there by your side
Ooh, thats right
Lets take a breath, jump over the side
Ooh, thats right
How can you know it when you dont even try
Ooh, thats right
Ooh, thats right
Lets take a breath, jump over the side
Ooh, thats right
You know the darkness always turns into light
Ooh, thats right

The One with the Bloggies

It's pretty hard to get or read a good blog nowadays.

What's happening? Too many workload...? Or... ???

The One with Globalization

What is the perfect example of Globalization?
Princess Diana's death.

An English princess with an Egyptian boyfriendcrashes in a French tunnel, riding in a German carwith a Dutch engine, driven by a Belgian who was drunkon Scottish whiskey, followed closely by Italian Paparazzi,on Japanese motorcycles, treated by an American doctor, using Brazilian medicines! And the funural itself was watched bymillions of People in 5 Continents.

And this is originally sent to you by an Armenian, using Bill Gates'technology, and you're probably reading this on one of the IBM clones, that use Taiwanese-made chips, and a Korean-made monitor, assembled by Bangladeshi workers in a Singapore plant, transported by lorries driven by Indians, hijacked by Indonesians, unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen, trucked by Mexican illegals, and finally sold to you.

That, my friend, is Globalization!

The One With The Song

I read some bloggers listed their 'rightest' song at the right time.. say.. song to listen before u go to sleep, song after a break-up etcetera etcetera etcetera..

I also got one.. for me it's a perfect song at a perfect time.. but u have to follow conditions below :

1. Drive downtown or on highways..
2. Preferably early nite, not so late..
3. If you dont drive a convertible, 'bukak tingkap'..
4. Tune in The Verve's hits wonder 'Bittersweet Symphony' (album Urban Hymns, track 1)
5. Repeat the song few times

Expected result : You should feel like 'Fuhhhhhhh....' and think yourselves as Sebastian Valmont (aka Ryan Phillippe in Cruel Intentions) or Reese Witherspoon / Sarah Michelle Gellar.. it works for me on the first try.. :P

The One With The Tricky Question

Heh.. got this from a colleague's YM custom msg.. : What does it mean when somebody ask you, "Did you put on?"..

Errr.. no comment, Mr J.. :D

The One With The Lyric

Would like to share with you guys this lyric.. its by coldplay.. 'Fix you'.. some might have listened their new X & Y album.. some might heard this song in Live8 concert.. some might also noticed from The OC (2)..

Here you go.. Cheers..

FIX YOU - Coldplay

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.

The One With The Wedding Bells

These few months (back and upcoming).. many of our friends are getting married (or engaged).. seems the 'Seru' (call) has been answered by most..

Many have passed the quarter of century mark and decide to settle down.. even those who didn't seem likely to get married back then.. hehe..

Congrats to all who's joining (or just joined) the married-life-club (you know who you are) and all the best too.. remember it's not the end, a new chapter has just begun..

Oh.. btw i got another friend.. his girlfriend surprised him with romantic dinner & a spanking new PS2 for his birthday.. hers is coming in a month time.. if you were in his shoes, what would be the most appropriate gift for her in return?? I did suggest an Engagement ring.. heheh.. dont you agree??

ps: if you feel being 'double' is much better than being single, wait till u turn 'triple'.. (you + your spouse + a child; not + another partner!!).. kan dear??

The One With Proton (Sawy)

What's with the news today? Utusan Malaysia frontpaged Proton head Tengku Mahalel has been issued a show-cause letter but thats not what PM said.. check other source NST, BH..

And have u ever listen to new Proton Savvy advertisement via radio.. erm.. not the one with driving Sawi with eyes closed or the one with Godzilla in TV.. but the one with delivering pizza from KL to Singapore in 30 minutes..

Ermm.. I personally feel that advert is really ridiculously pathetic.. KL to Singapore (almost 400km) in 30 minutes? and it also mentioned about top speed of Sawy is up to (only) 170kmph.. so how does it gonna make it? Towed by a super fast bullet train/jet?? I think this is the first time I heard any carmaker to promote their top speed.. and isnt it against the law to make such thing considering the fact that we have our road speed limit??

Oh by the way.. last thing I heard, Proton is gonna make a deal with Daihatsu and Citroen for their next model which will be called 'PRODAH-CIT!!'.. nah kidding..

The One With Pangkor Island Beach Resort

Ok.. my turn for the vacation report.. Last weekend was my second visit to Pulau Pangkor.. First was a day trip to Pantai Teluk Nipah way back when I was still single.. :P Actually, I also got an opportunity to go to Pangkor Laut earlier this year but couldnt make it due to some safety reasons.. :P

So.. 7 buses of us departed from KL at 8 am and arrived at Lumut Jetty Terminal about 3 hours after that.. (I noticed that Lumut Jetty has been under major facelift since the last time I been there..) Leason learnt : buy you supplies (drinks, titbits, etc) before your board into the ferry coz you'll find everything at almost double the normal price..

An express ferry will take you to the resort jetty where feeder bus will wait you there.. If you missed the express ferry, you still can take the normal ferry to Pangkor town and then hop into taxi to go to the resort at Teluk Belanga..

It was quite a nice and peaceful beach resort.. until the 'army of darkness' and 'the forces of lights' came and conquered the Hotel.. :)) theme for this year BUM was 'Lord of the BUM: Return of the BUM'.. too bad for those visitors who came last weekend for their peacefulness that had been bothered by our craziness.. too bad..

It was almost a weekend packed with activities.. OG updates, team building, dinner and leisure..

For those who love outdoor activities, you may try watersports : kayaking, canoeing, banana-boating, jet-skiing, wind surfing, snorkeling, parasailing.. or try biking, football, beach volleyball, 18-hole mini golf and archery for those who dont wanna get wet.. for indoor, there are Spa, traditional massage, pool & snooker, pingpong & dart, although I found out it might not be well maintained.. (i meant the snooker and pool table.. since i didnt try the rest)

Oh and not to forget, two relaxing swimming-pools where almost all of us either voluntarily jump into the easy way or got thrown into the hard way.. hehe..

For dining, there are a restaurant and three bars available.. you may also try a romantic dinner by the beach for RM350++ for twosome and DIY buffet for RM150per/annax if you gang-banging.. leason learnt no 2.. eat all you can since it gonna be hard to find food after 10pm..

and dont worry, mobile phone is still useable in certain areas in the resort..

Oh dont ask me about the price since it was a fully sponsored trip.. wink!

For those who missed the trip.. visit here.. (pic by John, YH and others)

Ermm.. what else.. oh a message to Duta Pangkor Ferry agency.. I personally think it's wayyyyyyy not appropriate to show film that won 11 awards in 1997 Academy Awards in your ferry lah.. plz show something else.. :P
