The One With The Vacation
Yeys.. we are going on vacation for the weekend.. But wait.. there is a slight problem.. Major actually.. I'll be travelling for a company Business Unit Meeting (BUM) at Pangkor Island Beach Resort and Mrs. will be going to a girl-weekends-out on a diving trip at Perhentian Island with her friends.. and Jr, will be staying with his Tok Ma & Tok Bah at home.. waaaaaaaaaaaaaa :((
Gosh.. the BUM is a closed event for employees only.. wish can bring rest of the Zens along.. as for my missus, this is an opportunity not to be missed.. since I dont know when i'll be getting a diving license.. and she hasnt been diving for quite sometimes..
The bigger problem is our little kiddo who is getting more attached to us recently.. I think he is already in separation anxiety phase.. he starts to choose people to get along with.. cries whenever he is alone.. cant be without his mother's teats at nite.. ouch.. it is gonna be harder to leave him behind but it will be a good experience to all of us..
So ayang, (yerp.. you.. :P..) throw your workload away, just go and have fun.. okay.. :D
And you kiddo.. be nice and drink your milk, ok.. dont make ur Toks angry at you.. :P
See you next week..
ps: I miss you guys already!! :((

The One With the Formula Milk
My little kiddo, now 6 months, has a weird cycle (like PMS, :P ) where some period of the month, he will try his best to reject, formula milk.. he is already into solid food where everytime we eat, he will make his cutey face and sound, asking for the food.. :D he can suck his mummy's milk dry all nite long.. but when comes to formula milk.. a big TAK NAK! we have to force him to drink.. if he can finish 3 ounce per meal, that's good enuff for us... when come the good cycle, 6 ounce is not enuff for him.. so basically he's gaining weight for the first half of the month, and losing it a half later..
FYI, we used Enfalac before we made a assumption that he was a little bored with the milk and switch to Mamex Gold.. the trick was quite a success until the weird cycle came again.. do we need to change milk every month? he has no problem with constipation or so.. tried to serve the milk warmer and less warm, thicker and lighter.. the result is still the same, when the cycle came, then no-no..
Now he's about to crawl and high in metabolism.. creep all over his ring.. now weighting at 7.65kg.. 4.1kg growth since he was born.. we think he need to gain a bit more especially if he want to achieve his parents ambition.. to become the first baby model in the family.. :P
I dunno, could it be because of genetic inheritance that runs in the blood or what that made my little kiddo Faeq so hard to feed with formula milk.. I dont drink formula milk that much when I was little.. My mum was a housewife back then, so frankly, I was breastfed until I was 4.. until I able to recollect my breastfeeding memories, until i can spell the words.. *****.. :P.. and my missus, drink a lot of her Chuchu Lo.. (a cute version of Milo).. :P
anybody with the same experience before? any ideas?

The One With Jaring Wireless Broadband
I was in need for a home internet broadband so that i wont be spending my day working at the coffee shop whenever i need to..
Few ISPs come into my mine.. one needs me to have a fixed phone line which i dont have and really need, call the phone guy to fix my phone line, call the broadband guy to fix the thingy etc.. and the other, buy a terminal port, plug to my machine and voila.. you are ready to go.. ( actually there are few others but one is temporary suspended, one is not covering my area, and another is excessively expensive and can only be used with a notebook..)
And i chosed ISP number 2.. Jaring Wireless Broadband with a year long subscription..
I've been using it for over 'the 7-days money-back guarantee'.. do i really satisfy? ermmm.. hard to say..
For internet browsing, it shouldnt be a problem..For a hardcore 24-7 broadband user, it still havent reach the expected standard.. I live in a condo, 8 floor high above the ground, about 500m from the building claimed to have the base station (transmitter) installed.. from my window/balcony (where I put my terminal), I can see the building standing tall.. still the connection is not that stable.. I've tested my download speed using http://www.testmy.net/ where I can get up to 0.7Mbps download rate which is not bad at all.. that's the best case scenario..
The bad news.. sometime it could drop to less than 0.07Mbps.. my torrent downloading can only reach a max of 10-15kbps ; avarage rate would be 5kbps.. uThh.. hate that! i've tried to open a few applications at once; internet browser, YM, torrent & citrix connection.. only 3 apps at one time max, else the line will be dropped.. havent try it during rain though.. It will not be a good idea to have a WLAN in the house with this current situation..
I might need to switch the terminal location in order to get the best connection.. maybe it would help if we live in 31st floor..:p
All in all, still it is the best solution for my problem.. as long as I can get connected to citrix server, can check urgent mail, open SAP screen via citrix, that's good enuff for me.. ;)
oh btw.. did i tell you, the terminal can be connected with a phone, and calls can be made on prepaid basis.. broadband and a phone line in one package.. cool huh?
Million thanks to Jaring for providing this service, but seriously.. you guys need to really keep up and perk up especially with raising numbers of users.. else.. you might lose one here..

The One With the Babies@perak.gov.my
Word up? As per reported by The Star today:
E-mail soon for Perak newborns
IPOH: Soon, newborns in Perak will not only be given birth certificates, but also e-mail addresses. In what could probably be the first such plan in the country, the state will embark on an E-mail 4 All project under its information communications technology (ICT) blueprint.

Any comment?
it is ironic when I have few friends who are working (some in govt hospital) but hardly use email/internet.. when asked them why? they simply answer 'Busy', 'no time' or just couldnt care less..
